Quiet and Portable Generator: Honda EU2200IC 2200-Watt Companion Inverter (Audience: General)

The all-new Honda EU2200i Companion model is capable of parallel operation with either another EU2200i or the existing Honda EU2000i K1/T1 models. In order to accommodate this feature, the EU2200i Companion model has removed the 12V DC outlet. Instead of the 20A 125V Duplex Outlet, it is now equipped with a 30A 125V locking plug and a 20A 125V single outlet. It is important to note that a signature is required for delivery.

One of the notable features of the EU2200i Companion model is its built-in 30 Amp outlet. This feature allows for RV applications, although an optional adapter is required. Additionally, there is one 20 Amp receptacle available. The 30 Amp receptacle allows for two EU2200i models to be run in parallel, using a simple parallel cord that is sold separately. This eliminates the need for an external parallel kit.

Weighing less than 47 lbs., the EU2200i Companion model is incredibly lightweight and compact. This makes it highly portable and easy to transport to wherever power is needed. This is made possible by Honda's inverter technology.

To prevent stale fuel issues and ensure easier storage, the EU2200i Companion model includes a fuel shutoff valve. This valve has a "Fuel Off" position that allows the engine to continue running until most of the fuel in the carburetor is consumed, at which point the engine shuts off.

Compared to the previous model, the EU2200i Companion has an increased ventilation area of 2.31 square inches. This reduces the resistance of cabinet air intake and results in improved inverter cooling.

For easier and cleaner oil changes, the EU2200i Companion model has several enhancements. It features a larger oil filler opening, a longer spout, and a larger oil drain gutter. These additions make the process of changing oil more convenient and less messy.
